Davis Cup | GB faced with a tough task

Its going to be a tough for Britain to get past Colombia and qualify for the 2023 Davis Cup Finals, an event they won back in 2015.

As hosts, the Colombians have chosen to play on clay at the Puerto Viejo Country Club on the outskirts of Bogota, their capital, some 2,500 metres above sea level.

The tie will take place between the 3rd and 5th February, five days after the conclusion of the Australian Open, the first major of the forthcoming season.

The British team has yet to be announced by captain Leon Smith but should feature Andy Murray, Cameron Norrie, Dan Evans and Jack Draper, plus doubles world No.1 Joe Salisbury and, depending on how deep they go in Melbourne, their travel schedule will be tight to prepare for the tie.
