London | Leon Smith calls up his players for Davis Cup Final duty.

Great Britain have named an unchanged line-up for next month’s Davis Cup quarter-final against Serbia in Malaga.

British number one Cameron Norrie, Dan Evans, Andy Murray, Jack Draper and doubles specialist Neal Skupski will line-up against a Serbian team led by the world No.1 Novak Djokovic when the final eight nations come together to decide this year’s Champion nation between the 21st and 26th of November.

Captain Leon Smith has turned to the same five-man team which secured that Final place when they came through the Play-offs last month in Manchester.

“We are going with the same five-man team as Manchester,” Smith said when announcing his line-up. “The guys did such a great job that week and we will go to Malaga with confidence and belief that we can be successful.

“The quarter-final versus Serbia will of course be a big challenge with a team led by world number one Novak Djokovic, but we have to believe we can win.”

Britain beat both last year’s runners-up Australia and Switzerland 2-1 before clinching a winner-takes-all final group-stage victory against France at a sold-out AO Arena.

Evans and Skupski saved four match points in their decisive doubles match against the French duo of Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin,

For the singles rubbers in that tie Smith played his highest-ranked duo, Norrie and Evans ranked 18 and 35 respectively.

Britain last lifted the Davis Cup in 2015 when Murray led them to victory over Belgium in the final.

Also competing at this year’s ‘Final 8’ in Malaga, are the defending champions Canada who will face surprise finalist Finland, the Czech Republic against Australia while the Netherlands take on Italy. The semi-finals will be played on November 25..
