Andy Murray has withdrawn from next week’s event in Dubai following the birth of his fourth child delivered recently by his wife Kim.
The baby’s arrival has ‘officially ‘disrupted his preparations for the event though the more likely reason is that he wants to spend time with the latest addition to his family
The couple, who have been married since 2015, are already parents to daughters Sophia, five, Edie, three, and one-year-old son Teddy.
To date the sex of the sex of the child is unknown.
Murray, who had hip surgery in January 2019, will travel to the United States early next week to prepare for the Miami Open, which begins the following Monday.
Murray last played at in Rotterdam, winning his opening match against Robin Haase before losing 7-5 6-2 to Russian world number eight Andrey Rublev.
The 33-year-old, two-time Wimbledon champion is currently ranked 116 in the world.
