Novak Djokovic’s bid to equal Pete Sampras’ record of seven Wimbledon triumphs might be hit by Covid 19, it has been suggested.
The 35-year-old Serb practised with Marin Cilic at the All England Club a few days ago before the Croat withdrew from the event after testing positive for the coronavirus.
Djokovic has revealed at the tournament that he would rather not play in the event than have the vaccine jab for the virus.
When asked it as a question, he replied: “Yes, yes.”
Matteo Berrettini has also joined Cilic in withdrawing because of a positive test for Covid.
