It's surreal because of how quickly things change in tennis. I'm definitely still digesting things. I definitely felt clear on what I was trying to achieve, regardless of if it was going my way. I just stuck to my true self. Jo Konta

Jo Konta has repeatedly spoken of the mental and tactical “process” she relies upon during her rise up the rankings, and it held up superbly under huge pressure.

She has had to cope with the tag of title favourite since she won her second-round match, Konta overcame an Halep had had been set to become world number one with impressive poise. Speaking to the BBC a delighted Konta stated,

“I knew against Simona she wasn’t going to give me much for free and I had to create my own chances and I took a few of them,” she said.

“I felt consistent in my approach and in my general being out there. I continued to trust in myself.”

Konta will now meet Venus Williams on Thursday. Konta has the advantage having won three of her five previous meetings against Williams, and looking ahead to their sixth encounter said: “I definitely feel age isn’t a factor with Venus.

“She’s a tremendous champion and I feel humbled to share a court with her.”

Specially designed for the 2017 competition, the Pure Drive Lite Wimbledon is the ideal racket for players looking for a perfect balance between power and maneuverability, in the colors of the famous English tournament.

It has the same features and technologies as the standard Pure Drive Lite.
Pure Drive Lite is the most manoeuvrable racket in the Babolat range. It is light-weight and head-light, a combination which allows players to swing easily. It is not lacking in power either with Woofer system providing one of the liveliest and powerful string-bed.

Pure Drive Lite’s most notable technology however, is FSI (Frame String Integration). Here, the strings in the sweet-spot area, just above the centre are arranged in a denser configuration for more control and feel. This location of FSI implements information gathered from ‘Pure Drive PLAY’, the first connected racket by Babolat.

The combination of super manoeuvrable frame, powerful stringbed and control oriented string pattern is hard to beat for young players at any level.
